Today is your birthday and you aren't here,
To celebrate the passing of another long year.
An angel came calling and you held out your hand,
You left on a journey to a mystical land.
You were anxious to leave, not afraid to go,
Even though the path ahead you did not know.
You moved to another realm without any fear,
But we still feel your presence very strongly here.
Now you step lively as you painlessly play,
Sitting on stars, guiding angels along the way.
I see you in every moonbeam that shines so bright,
I look for the brightest star in the sky each night.
